Happy Valentine's Day!
If you haven't figured it out yet, we like to cook and bake at our house. Any holiday that gives us a reason to do something fun we are ready to go.
Last month I found a silicone heart shaped pan and silicone heart shaped cup cake pan at Target for only $2.50. Tara wanted to do something for her friends at school and decided on a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting would be perfect along with some cupcakes. She frosted just the tops of them and used some sprinkles. I am sure her friends will enjoy it.
I decided to go with the office's newest favorite and made pineapple upside down cake. I used pineapple tidbits instead of the usual rings and made both the larger heart and cupcakes. Everything came out very nicely. The wonderful thing about using silicone pans is they clean up easy and the cakes come out very easily.
